World Down Syndrome Day 2023

March 21st holds a special place in our hearts at LCKS as we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day, where the lives and achievements of all individuals with Down Syndrome are celebrated! Life Centers of Kansas' ongoing goal is to spread awareness and increase community inclusion for all individuals living with disabilities, including our friends with Down Syndrome. Down Syndrome is caused by a Trisomy 21 (3 copies of chromosome 21), and because of this, we celebrate this special day of recognition on the 21st day of the third month. Join us in celebrating our friends with Down Syndrome today and every day! It's through their unique abilities and outstanding accomplishments that our community is whole. We'd love to hear what inclusion means to you. Comment below, share, or create your posts in honor of World Down Syndrome Day and include the hashtags #WorldDownSyndromeDay or #WDSD.
